I’m a recent (May ’08) college grad, living and working in Washington, DC. I attended a private Christian college in my hometown in Arkansas, where I studied biochemistry/molecular biology and political science and experienced a rather strong shift in political and religious views–I now describe myself as a politically liberal secular humanist. I’m fascinated by public health and medicine, basic scientific research, the intersection of science and culture, international relations, international finance (especially sovereign wealth funds), international economic development and conflict resolution, etc. I’ll probably make it to grad school in public policy, public health, international development, history and philosophy of science, or something like that (or even medical school) eventually, but not quite yet.
