I’m a recent (May ‘08) college grad. I attended a private Christian college in my hometown in Arkansas, where I studied biochemistry and political science and experienced a rather strong shift in political and religious views. Medicine and basic scientific research fascinate me, as do the intersection of science and culture, international relations, international economic development and conflict resolution, and how all of those play into global public health challenges. I’ll probably make it to medical school and grad school in public health eventually, but not quite yet.
